Duluth Airport Runway 9/27, Phase 1, 2, & 3

This reconstruction was part of a three-phased project to fully reconstruct all 10,162 feet of the main runway at Duluth International Airport. The last part of the reconstruction project, which is the east end, is planned to be completed in 2018. Supporting commercial air traffic and the 148th ANG required this airport to remain completely operational during reconstruction with no interruptions to flight schedules. To achieve this, the construction teams phased this project into three parts to allow commercial and general aviation flights to operate as scheduled.
